Hiking

Visit differently the District of Fréhel

As you go along the paths, you will see local heritage everywhere with the old templar chapel, the atypical seaside resort of Sables d’Or or the Carquois which will make you wonder about the past of quarry workers.

You will chose among many hiking possibilities, in a pastoral setting like Vallée de Diane, or you may chose to walk along the seaside on GR 34, between pink sandstone and the hinterland. On your way take a break at “Pointe aux Chèvres” in Pléhérel-Plage and enjoy one of the most beautiful view of the Cap Fréhel.

GR 34, the littoral trail

The littoral trail is designed for pedestrians and it markes out  in red and white. It offers many choices to start a good hike from the coast.

The peninsula of Fréhel-Plévenon-Cap Fréhel covers 17 km.
Whether you are an occasional stroller or a passionate hiker, leaving for a couple of hours or for a whole day, you will follow the footprints of those who kept a close watch on the coast in the past time, and by doing so you will discover a breathtaking panorama (beaches, dunes, heath, cliffs, mudflat).
